Professional Development Statement

Educational media development is an important skill in many organizations because it helps communicate information clearly and effectively. In many fields, including HR and organizational development, digital tools are used to develop and deliver training programs, presentations, orientation materials, and internal communications. Through this course, I learned how technology and media can support learning and professional development in the workplace.

One of the key concepts we studied was the ADDIE instructional design model, which stands for Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate. This model provides an organized way to design educational materials and training programs that help learners understand new information. With the ADDIE framework, organizations can create better training programs that support employees and improve the workplace.

Another important concept introduced in this course was Universal Design for Learning (UDL). UDL focuses on creating learning experiences that are engaging for all learners. This approach shows that people learn in various ways, so training materials should include many ways of delivering information and engaging all learners.

With this course, I developed projects that improved my ability to create educational media using digital tools and even web development tools like Wix. These projects helped me improve my ability to communicate ideas clearly, organize information, and design engaging content. These skills will be valuable in my career because organizations need digital communication tools to train employees, share information, and support professional development.
